Ulysses Owens Jr. leads his Generation Y ensemble, delivering a set that bridges swing, groove, and genre-blending innovation for the 8th Annual Emerging Artist Festival at Vermont Jazz Center.

The 18-piece Vermont Jazz Center Big Band will celebrate 21 years of playing together with a swing-dance performance featuring the acclaimed vocalist, pianist, and composer Peter Eldridge.

Grammy-winning pianist Zaccai Curtis leads a powerhouse Latin jazz quintet, showcasing Cubop classics and originals with explosive rhythm, modern vision, and Afro-Cuban soul.

Vocalist Somi is the first African woman to be nominated for a Jazz Grammy. Her work draws attention to major artists like Miriam Makeba and her mentor, Hugh Masekela, who have unalterably shaped African culture. Winner of Doris Duke and NAACP Image awards.

Zenón blends the rich traditions of his Puerto Rican heritage with the language of modern jazz, with his work being deeply rooted in cultural exploration, he balances skilled technique with emotional depth.
