Historian Ben Young will lead participants on a journey through the life and music of Miles Davis, whose 100th birth-anniversary was earlier this year. Davis ascended from the swing dance bands of his youth in St. Louis to become a leading stylist and innovator in bebop, cool jazz, modal jazz, fusion, free-form jazz, and even hip-hop. Join us for this compelling 8-week survey of one of the most beloved and influential artists in the entire jazz genre.
