On Sunday, May 3rd, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, the Vermont Jazz Center (VJC) will present its end-of-semester Student Showcase featuring 7 ensembles who have been eagerly rehearsing and preparing music to share with family, friends and aficionados.

The Jazz Center’s performance will be counted amongst a “record number of groups from 190 countries worldwide” celebrating the 15th Annual International Jazz Day which takes place the week of April 30th, 2026.

This performance tradition highlights the depth of talent within the VJC’s education program, bringing together musicians of all ages and backgrounds. The event is free and open to the public; a suggested $5 donation supports the VJC Scholarship Fund, which awards more than $17,000 annually to help make jazz education accessible to all.

Your presence supports local talent performing in a variety of jazz styles. Free and open to the public. Dessert snacks will be available by donation.
