Amy London is an accomplished vocalist who has released five albums as a leader; she is Musical Director of The Royal Bopsters, a vocal quartet plus rhythm section that pays homage to jazz royalty by inviting such legends as Mark Murphy, Annie Ross, Jon Hendricks, Sheila Jordan and Bob Dorough to join them on tour and in the studio. Their album The Royal Bopsters Project was lauded as one of the best CDs of 2015 by several jazz publications including Downbeat, JazzTimes, All About Jazz and Talkin’ Broadway. Their record release event sold out a six-night run at Birdland. Ms. London has performed in Russia, Italy, Turkey, France, Brazil, England, Belgium, Czechoslovakia and Canada, as well as cities across the US including New York’s top venues such as Dizzy’s, The Rainbow Room, Lincoln Center, Birdland, Blue Note, The Kitano, BB King’s, Cornelia Street Cafe, North Square Lounge and many others. London also sang in the Grammy-nominated, Tony-award winning Broadway hit “City of Angels.”

London received her BA in Opera from Syracuse University and has been a jazz educator since 1984. She currently teaches at the New School University and City College. In early 2014, London launched the Vocal Jazz Academy at Jazz House for Kids, in Montclair, NJ, at the invitation of Christian McBride and Melissa Walker. She has led vocal jazz workshops for IAJE and JEN, at the Veneto Jazz Workshop in Italy, and at festivals and schools in Istanbul, Turkey; St. Cezaire, France; Paraty, Brazil; Bar Harbor, Maine; Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico; Schroon Lake, NY, and Green Mountain College, Vermont.
