Ben Barnett

In his 22 years as a trombonist, Ben Barnett has made a name for himself in NYC’s jazz scene as a consummate trombonist, educator, and musician. Ben is a Grammy-nominated musician who has performed at some of NYC’s premier venues for jazz music such as Birdland Jazz Club, Smalls Jazz Club, and The Blue Note Jazz Club, with many of the Jazz Greats including Barry Harris, Slide Hampton, Jon Faddis, David Murray, Arturo O’Farrill, and many others. He has also performed, as a musician and clinician, at colleges across the country, and is constantly in pursuit of advancing his ability as a trombonist and a musician. Arturo O’Farrill has referred to Ben as, “One of my all-time favorite human beings!”. Ben currently resides on Long Island, NY, and continues to work as a freelance musician and educator around the world.
