We will be Livestreaming from the home studio of each artist here on our website, on the VJC facebook page and on Jazz Corner. If you’re having trouble streaming, please reload the VJC homepage. Terri Lyne Carrington and Social Science’s performance at the Vermont Jazz Center kicks off at 8:00 PM on Saturday, May 23rd.
The first portion will be a debut presentation of three videos of tunes from their recent album ‘Waiting Game.’ These videos will be recorded beforehand in the individual studios of each of the six musicians and then combined into a unified whole.
Terri will then be joined by renowned activist Susan Rosenberg in a live discussion moderated by Downbeat correspondent John Murph.
During the second hour Terri and her sextet, Social Science, will play ‘live’ on Zoom, improvising together from 6 different cities. They will then come together for a live group discussion moderated by VJC Director Eugene Uman.
Sunday will bring paired musicians together for a series of Masterclasses and Q&A sessions (please send in your questions vis the VJC homepage or via our Facebook Live feed).
