Beginning Jazz Guitar Ensemble

Sunday, 3:30 - 5:00 pm, BEGINS: September 8th

This is an introductory class in Improvisation and ensemble playing, specifically designed for guitarists wanting to take their playing to the next level! Topics covered in the class will include chord substitution, soloing skills, listening, and group interaction. A variety of styles will be addressed, including blues and rhythm changes, bossa nova, jazz standards and classic tunes by Duke Ellington and others. A basic understanding of chords and scales is a prerequisite. However, this is a class for beginners, and students are encouraged to contact the instructor with any questions.
